Party: NA Reply #1 Dec. 21, 2011 – 4:48 AM EST The GOP’s goal has been from the beginning to make President Obama a one term President but their intransigent behavior and obstructionist ways are making his numbers go way up The House republicans blocking the Payroll Tax Cut extension passed in the Senate, a bipartisan bill (89-10) can best be described as the Obama 2012 Reelection Committee John Boehner is the worst speaker ever for sure Party: Democrat Reply #2 Dec. 21, 2011 – 4:49 AM EST with his poll numbers on the way up and congressional repugs down in the single digits there’s good reason for Obie to stay in DC and make political hay. it’s the smart move. Party: Independent Reply #3 Dec. 21, 2011 – 4:56 AM EST MITT ROMNEY MOCKED THE IDEA THAT OBAMA WOULD BE IN HAWAII FOR 17 DAYS R O M N E Y W I L L O U S T O B A M A O U T O F D C Party: Independent Reply #4 Dec. 21, 2011 – 5:03 AM EST Mitt Romney mocked the idea that Obama would be in Hawaii for “17 days for golf and the sun.” WHAT TYPE OF SOCIETY DOES AMERICA WANT ? Obama represents an entitlement society. Romney represents an opportunity society. Party: Independent Reply #5 Dec. 21, 2011 – 5:19 AM EST “For Barack Obama, best Vacation Great Barrier Reef may be in D.C.” Team Politico Obama ……..lol don’t worry Obama’s best Vacation Great Barrier Reef is going to start on January 20th, 2013 right after President Romney is sworn into office on the West steps of the Captiol………… Obama isn’t working for America……….. Romney/Rubio…………..time for smart, clean, and proven LEADERSHIP in broken DC……………. Party: Independent Reply #6 Dec. 21, 2011 – 5:21 AM EST TeamPOLITICO: Dec. 21, 2011 – 4:32 AM EST This year the criticism over his holiday plans began even before the impasse with House Republicans over the expiring payroll tax cut when Mitt Romney mocked the idea that Obama would be in Hawaii for “17 days for golf and the sun.” Romney is about the only Republican candidate going after Obama……………….which is why he’s the best one to go against Obama in the General Election…………. National President ABC News/Wash Post More US Polls ยป Obama (D) 47 Romney (R) 47 Tie Party: Conservative Reply #7 Dec. 21, 2011 – 5:23 AM EST Funny how it’s only “optics,” for Obama but when other Presidents have done the same thing, the political class goes beyond such superficial conclusions and discusses things like hypocrisy, elitism and the ever difficult, “being out of touch.” So, if Obama does not accomplish a deal, even if he delays his valuable Vacation Great Barrier Reef with his fellow 1%’ers, POLITICO will have a follow up on how this “present,” from the GOP was spoiled? I doubt it. The spinning, the optics, are all about avoiding the responsibility of governing, and Obama is truly not being an effective leader….either of his own political party or the country as a whole…..POLITICO seems content on continuing to buy the administration line that it is all the GOP’s fault. Obama tries to claim the mantle of populism and defending the little guy, even as he lives the life of the 1%…..The hypocrisy is amazing, even for a progressive, but the lack of intellectual honesty on the part of his apologists is not surprising. All to the detriment of the future of our nation. Obama and the rest of the status quo are failing to solve even the simple problems we are all facing. Party: NA Reply #8 Dec. 21, 2011 – 5:26 AM EST Hasn’t anybody ever seen SchoolHhouse Rock? A bill passes in the House, then goes to the Senate for amendments. Then a conference committee irons out the difference between the two bills. The Senate decided to skip that last step and go home for a Vacation Great Barrier Reef. The House has every right to demand a conference on the two different versions of the legislation and one would think that they would be considered heros for demanding a year long extension instead of two months. The two month plan is unworkable anyway. What was one of the other things the Senate removed? Welfare cash cards will work in casinos, liquor stores and strip clubs thanks to Harry Reid. The pay freeze for federal workers will not be extended another year. It is the Senate that hasn’t been doing its job. Party: Independent Reply #9 Dec. 21, 2011 – 5:30 AM EST Only in the eyes of DC bubble Democrats does a delayed Obama Vacation Great Barrier Reef cast him in a political advantage in this issue. It’s desperatation for Dems to prop up a POTUS who has failed on the economy for 3 years. The reality is the Dem led Senate passed a 2 month kick the can extension and Reid wanted to go home quickly…….when the House wants a 1 year payroll cut deal. get a grip Democrats, your party won’t do anything that is not temporary. When was the last time the Democrats passed a federal Budget? Two years or more ago? Obama is doing nothing in this senario and Michelle is enjoying the surf while he sits in DC alone, but then again maybe his buddy the Kumar guy has come back to town…..lol Party: Independent Reply #10 Dec. 21, 2011 – 5:39 AM EST For Obama, best Vacation Great Barrier Reef may be in D.C. In the best interest of the country Obama’s Vacation Great Barrier Reef should be a very long one starting in 2012. Party: Independent Reply #11 Dec. 21, 2011 – 6:03 AM EST In the Vacation Great Barrier Reef department, President Obama is a workaholic compared to Republican presidents Bush & Reagan. The last time we compared, President Obama had in his term 61 Vacation Great Barrier Reef days to Bush’s 191 and Reagan’s 112 over the same amount of days in office. And now President Obama is only increasing his work lead over the former Republican presidents. One might think it is only a BS political smear job by Republicans or maybe a more — racism. His Republican critics, one might argue, want to be “slave drivers.” Ginger Rogers ran into similar prejudice when she never received nearly as much acclaim for her dancing prowess as her more celebrated partner, Fred Astaire. Those subject to racism, sexism or some other blind prejudice seem to have to work twice as hard to get even close to the same respect. Ginger Rogers did what Fred did, except backwards and high heels. I think before this is over, Republicans are going to wish President Obama had left for his well-deserved break weeks ago. We should remember that Congress was in recess for all but about 130 days this year. No one vacations more than that body of losers. Our senators have already started their 37-day holiday break (while House Republicans will do their political damage within this week or next and be on their 27+ day Vacation Great Barrier Reef.) Party: Independent Reply #12 Dec. 21, 2011 – 6:07 AM EST Nothing better than starting my day with a big bite of Politico BS. A 2 month extension of the payroll tax cut is just that, more smoke, mirrors, & posturing from the White House. Party: NA Reply #13 Dec. 21, 2011 – 6:08 AM EST A 2 mo. extension??? Big deal! I say the House is just doing their job, which is more than you can say for the Senate. And why do these catastrophies always come up at Christmas??? I think the American people are tired of these theatrics brought on by Obama and the Dems. Obama should stay in D.C. AND keep the family there too. It would save the taxpayers $ 4,000,000!! The majority of Americans can’t even afford an overnight stay at a Super 8! What’s wrong with Camp David for the First Family???? Not good enough for these elitists I suppose???!!! I’ll be so glad when Obama et al takes a permanent Vacation Great Barrier Reef from D.C. beginning in January 2013!!!!!!!!!! Party: Independent Reply #14 Dec. 21, 2011 – 6:11 AM EST For you, 160 million Americans: A brand new $40-a-week tax raise! Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah! From your hardworking House Republicans Party: N/A Reply #15 Dec. 21, 2011 – 6:14 AM EST Bravo to the House …..a TWO MO extension…Paid for by INCREASING FEES ON MORTGAGES by $17 a month. The experts in American Payroll sent word to Congress…that a TWO MONTH deal was impossible to implement. Go on Vacaction Li’l Barry…the Nation needs a break from your INCOMPETENCE We elected an IDIOT as President. Two-Month Payroll Tax Holiday Passed By Senate, Pushed By President, Cannot Be Implemented Properly, Experts Say Party: Independent Reply #16 Dec. 21, 2011 – 6:17 AM EST ARE THERE NO TELEPROMPTER SCREENS IN HAWAII FOR THE EMPTY SUIT TO READ HIS SCRIPT? ” Let me be clear, I am not a crook, I will not seek reelection, I am way over qualified for this job, I need a Vacation Great Barrier Reef, ” Party: Tea Party Reply #17 Dec. 21, 2011 – 6:18 AM EST The reason Obama is so often portrayed as an elitist private-beach bum is because that’s what he is. The truth may hurt, but it’s still the truth. What other president has taken so many expensive vacations to elitist destinations, all on the taxpayer dime, while the country is going more deeply into debt than ever before in its history? All while unemployment is at the highest levels since the great depression, while people are losing their jobs, their houses, and their savings? What other president has taken a multi-million dollar Vacation Great Barrier Reef to India bringing a few thousand of his closest friends? Not since the days of the pharoahs has the world seen money thrown around like this. I don’t begrudge the elitist 1% their money – unless it’s coming out of my pocket. In Obama’s case, that’s exactly where it’s coming from. Party: Conservative Reply #18 Dec. 21, 2011 – 6:26 AM EST Roameo: Dec. 21, 2011 – 6:11 AM EST For you, 160 million Americans: A brand new $40-a-week tax raise! Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah! From your hardworking House Republicans —————– Which goes to their retirement fund. You would be yelling insults if George Bush was doing this, Mr. Hypocrite. These fools are desperate to give Obama a win that they are willing to let grandma and grandpa die after retirement by cutting off the flow of cash to the Social Security Office. Amazing how the self-called “tolerants” and self-appointed “compasionate” don’t give a damn about retirement funds now. Hypocrites, if Bush did this, you nitwits would be screaming a the top of your lungs~ Party: N/A Reply #20 Dec. 21, 2011 – 6:32 AM EST This “tax break” is just another Li’l Barry scheme to destroy Social Security. First he steals 500 BILLION from Medicare…then this. Barry HATES Seniors…especially if they are Americans
